open windows

Today’s big adventure was attacking the painted-shut windows with a putty knife. The kitchen and the back (office) bedroom continue to resist, but we now have working windows in the rest of the house.
We are also now the proud owners of a wheelbarrow, a ladder, a lawn mower, and other household miscellany.
It is weird that in the land of single family houses, neighbors will spontaneously introduce themselves to you. I think I can get used to that, though. Dan from across the street told us about his adventure trying to help Jack, the previous owner, get a water heater into the house through piles of clutter, and about Jack’s final project restoring an old truck.
