Tuesday: Another heating estimate, this one with an air purifier option. We go to Ikea looking for window shades and return with patio furniture instead.

This morning: Another heating and another electrical estimate, from contractors who unfortunately happen to arrive at the same time, but they seem to get along OK. And while looking at the crawl space, they discover that:

• the water heater isn’t properly vented, and
• the water main is leaking into the crawl space.

The heating guy says he can fix the water heater venting too, but it looks like it’s time to find a plumber.
